Rooted in science. Grown by care.

Behavior Intervention Services was founded in 2004 with a simple belief: individuals with developmental disabilities deserve support that is both scientifically rigorous and deeply personal.

Two decades later, that belief still guides us. What began as a small St. Louis practice has grown to serve hundreds of individuals across Missouri — but the heart of BIS hasn't changed. Every service we provide is designed around one person at a time.

We combine the most renowned autism education principles with the most current clinical methodologies, delivering therapies in homes, schools, residential settings, and the community. Our services are grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis — the most scientifically validated approach in the field.

Our approach

Grounded in evidence. Delivered with care.

Many teaching strategies get marketed to families in search of help. Most work for a handful of individuals. Few work for most.

Through experience with many principles of learning, we've found the best approach is grounded in scientifically proven methodologies — most notably Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). It's not the newest theory. It's the one that consistently works.

But methodology alone isn't enough. Every plan we build starts with the individual: their goals, their family, their world. We meet people where they are.
