About the program

Welcome to Grow@BIS

Grow@BIS uses behavior analysis to support adults with disabilities as they build real-world skills. Every participant's plan is built around their own goals, so no two days look exactly the same.

Participants make choices about how they spend their time, take part in classes and training, and get out into the community through volunteering and local events.

  • A person-centered plan built with you and the people you choose
  • Support exploring work and employment options
  • Help finding and joining local events, groups and activities
Why Grow@BIS

A day program with purpose

Grow@BIS is about more than filling the day. It's about building toward the life each person wants.

Personalized growth

Each participant follows a path matched to their own skills and goals.

Meaningful activities

Activities are chosen around the participant, not the other way around.

Community integration

We help prepare people for work and for everyday life in their community.

Your choice, always

Participants choose how they spend their time and who supports them.

Your rights, your choices

Services built around the person

Grow@BIS follows Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) standards. Here's what that means for participants.

Full access to the community

Staff help participants find local events, groups, parades and fairs, and plan the money and transportation to get there.

Support to find work

Want a job? Participants can ask for a meeting to talk through employment options with their planning team.

Choice of services & staff

Participants choose their services and who provides them, and we offer options so they and their guardians can decide.

Control of personal funds

Participants can access their own money, or ask BIS to help manage funds for Day Program activities.

Privacy

Participants can talk privately with friends and family, and have access to privacy when they need it.

Dignity & respect

Every participant is treated the way they want to be treated, spoken to kindly and supported in a positive way.
